This charming town in the heart of Alsace has plenty to see and do. Here are some of the must-sees to add to your itinerary:
The Old Town
Let’s start with the obvious – the Old Town. This is where you’ll find all of Colmar’s most picturesque streets and buildings. Be sure to wander through the charming Petite Venise district, where the canals and colorful houses will transport you to another world.
Little Venice
Located in the heart of Colmar, Little Venice is a picturesque neighborhood filled with colorful half-timbered houses, small canals, and bridges. Take a stroll along the water and admire the charming scenery, or even take a boat ride for a different perspective.
The Unterlinden Museum
Next up, the Unterlinden Museum. This is one of the top art museums in France, and for good reason. The museum’s centerpiece is the Isenheim Altarpiece, a stunning 16th-century artwork that tells the story of the life of Jesus. But the museum has much more to offer than just this – you’ll also find a vast collection of art and artifacts from throughout Alsace’s history.
St. Martin’s Church
